What's going on in this market?  There's obviously so much uncertainty in the global economy, but is it affecting our local market?  How many people out there want to buy or sell a house, and how many need to?

For those who want to buy or sell, chances are they are financially stable, and would either like to move to a home that fills their needs better - either larger - or smaller, depending if their immediate family is growing - or if children are moving out... But if they need to sell their house, then either they are moving out of the area (perhaps relocated), or - worse yet - they can't afford to keep their homes.

These are the realities of why people buy & sell homes - so if a person is in a position where they need or want to sell a home, then you should be prepared to accept what the market has to offer.  You need to fully research what similar homes in your area are selling for, and that information usually comes from an experienced Realtor - but make sure that you get one that will do everything they can for you.  In this market, you simply can't afford to have your Realtor doing shoddy work.  Ask "WHY" you should use their services, as opposed to another one - what will they do for you that's different from the other Realtors.

One of the most important things that Realtors can do for YOU is to properly market your home including the use of a virtual tour.  Normally, this involves listing your home on the Multiple Listing Services, where other Realtors can view your home.  But just as importantly, it is necessary to present your home to the ever-growing group of home buyers who start their own search for a home online.  And "how" you do this can vary considerably.
