Virtual Tour Company... a Saving Grace! PDF Print E-mail

Like any other job, photography can be mundane and the passion for the art of what we do can most certainly dissipate into dissatisfaction.  However after being in the Customer Service industry for well over a decade in the Real Estate and Automotive industry, I can tell you that being invited into a home with a smile and a thank you is priceless.

Being a Virtual Tour and Home Inventory provider in Colorado is a unique opportunity to examine how other people live in their environment and appreciate humanity as it truly is.  When people invite us into their home and we snap pictures of some of their most sentimental items, a trust is given that we are professional and non-judgmental to who they are and how they live.  We are constantly coming across families with small children and find that while we are guests in their home, we become part of the family as a professional photographer in the home is a big experience for them.  I make it a priority to keep small trinkets or games in my camera bag for the kids and always send a thank you card to the homeowner after we have completed our shoot or inventory.  I have found that not only does the extra effort generate new business, but it also keeps the passion alive for what we do.

When my wife and I started Hot Shots Digital Inventory and Photography in 2007, we did so with the understanding that Virtual Tours and Home Inventory would most definitely be a job.  Over the last year, contrary to our initial understanding, Hot Shots Digital has become one of the most rewarding things that we have done in our life.  Of course, it is a business, but we wouldn’t necessary classify Hot Shots Digital as a “JOB.”  When our four year old or two year old ask us where we are going, we no longer have to say “I am going to work,” we now are able to smile and say “I am gonna take some pictures.”  To be able to have fun and be welcomed by our clients is what keeps us going, and because of that, we are truly grateful to the support of Real Tour Vision and our many clients.

Thank you for everything!
